Eden Hazard sends direct message to Tottenham stars after Chelsea’s 4-2 win
Eden Hazard says Tottenham will be feeling the pressure after Chelsea's 4-2 win over Southampton on Tuesday night
Eden Hazard declared that Tottenham will be feeling the pressure after Chelsea extended their lead at the top of the Premier League back to seven points.
Hazard scored Chelsea’s opening goal on Tuesday night as Antonio Conte’s side secured a 4-2 win over Southampton at Stamford Bridge to boost their Premier League title bid.
The win lifted Chelsea seven points clear of Spurs ahead of the Lilywhites’ trip to Crystal Palace in the top flight on Wednesday night.
And the Belgian playmaker has revealed that he will be keeping a close eye on Tottenham’s fortunes as the Lilywhites prepare to take on the Eagles on Wednesday night.
Speaking to Sky Sports after Tuesday’s game, Hazard said: “It was good to score. We did well today, we scored four beautiful goals so tonight we deserved to win.
“It’s always good to play before – Tottenham play tomorrow so we’ve put pressure on them. We’re happy today.”
Chelsea are now preparing for their crunch clash against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon as they look to take another step closer to the title.
The Blues are hoping to win a domestic double this term after having booked their place in the FA Cup final against Arsenal next month.
