Frank Lampard has told Chelsea’s players to put their disappointing 2-0 loss to Manchester United out of their minds as they look to bounce back from the defeat.

Chelsea failed to perform against Jose Mourinho’s men at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon as they suffered a damaging blow to their Premier League title hopes.

Goals from Marcus Rashford and Ander Herrera either side of half-time handed Jose Mourinho’s men victory and left Chelsea just four points clear of second-placed Tottenham with six games left to play this season.

Antonio Conte must now rally his troops as they turn their attentions towards their FA Cup semi-final showdown with Tottenham at Wembley next weekend.

And Lampard has urged the Blues to quickly forget about the disappointment of Sunday’s loss as they begin their preparations for that game.

Speaking on Sky Sports after the game, Lampard said: “The only thing I can say to Chelsea is to just wipe it out from their memory. It was just one of those games.

“They’ve been fantastic [this season], they’ve been winning games regularly. There’s no way they can dwell on this now because they’ve got an important run-in and it’s game on. It’s four points.”
