Glenn Hoddle is backing Chelsea to win the Premier League this season following their great form in recent weeks.

The Blues took yet another step towards winning the title this season when they secured a 3-1 win over Bournemouth on Saturday evening.

Goals from Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Marcos Alonso wrapped up the three points for Antonio Conte’s men as the west London side underlined their status as the heavy favourites to win the title.

The victory put Chelsea seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table once again after Tottenham had earlier closed the gap to four points with victory over Watford.

Chelsea will now turn their attentions towards their crunch Premier League clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

But former Tottenham manager Hoddle cannot see past Chelsea winning the Premier League title this season.

Speaking on BT Sport on Saturday night, Hoddle said: “I don’t [see Chelsea dropping six points] if I’m honest.

“Man City came to town after they lost to Palace and they did the job. Everton away and Manchester United away on paper [will be tough games]. But Conte will play a team that will not get beaten.

“They don’t have to go and win all of their remaining games to win the league.”

Chelsea finished 10th and without a trophy last season.
