Mark Lawrenson is confident that Chelsea will find a way to beat Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

The west London side battled to a 2-1 victory over top-four rivals Manchester City in the Premier League on Wednesday night thanks to Eden Hazard’s brace.

Chelsea’s win against Pep Guardiola’s men was made all the more significant considering that Antonio Conte’s side lost 2-1 to Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

The Blues are currently seven points clear of their closest title rivals Tottenham Hotspur with eight games to go as Chelsea look to win their first Premier League crown under Conte.

Speaking to BBC Sport ahead of Chelsea’s trip to Bournemouth on Saturday evening, Lawrenson delivered his prediction for the Premier League clash on the south coast.

“Chelsea were not at their best against Manchester City last time out, but still won – and I think they will find a way of winning this game too,” Lawrenson said.

“Bournemouth will have a go at them, but we know the Blues are capable of soaking up pressure and we also know they have match-winners in their side.

“By the time they kick off, Chelsea will know how Tottenham got on against Watford, and their lead could be down to four points. I think it will be back up to seven points by the end of the day.”
