Nemanja Matic says Chelsea will need to be “aggressive” if they want to beat Tottenham in Saturday’s crunch FA Cup semi-final.

The Blues head into the game on the back of their disappointing 2-0 loss at the hands of Manchester United in the Premier League last weekend.

Chelsea have seen their lead at the top of the Premier League table cut down to just four points following Tottenham’s strong form.

The west London side are the favourites to beat Tottenham at Wembley on Sunday, despite Antonio Conte’s men having lost two of their last four Premier League games.

And midfielder Matic admits that the Blues will need to be at their best against Spurs on Saturday afternoon.

Matic told Chelsea’s website: “Every game is different but we know they are going to be aggressive.

“They have many good players and we have to be ready for that. We have trained well this week and I am sure we will be.

“We have already forgotten last Sunday’s game. That’s important because a new game brings new challenges and that’s what we have to focus on. It’s the same when we win.

“We know we will have to play better than last weekend and I think we will. I am feeling good and the atmosphere at Cobham has been good. We’re ready.”

Chelsea are chasing an FA Cup and Premier League double in Conte’s first season in charge at the club.
