Diego Costa has admitted that he has been hugely impressed by what he has seen from N’Golo Kante at Chelsea so far this season.

The French midfielder has been earning plenty of praise for his performances for the Blues since his arrival at Stamford Bridge from Leicester City last summer.

Kante has been a regular fixture in the Chelsea team this season and has helped the Blues establish themselves as the firm favourites to win the title this term.

The France international won many new admirers last season as he helped Leicester City to win the Premier League title.

And Costa has admitted that he is a big fan of Kante and his attitude since his arrival at the club last summer.

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea’s website, Costa said: “Kante is the team’s heart. He is a player who gives us a lot of things: he scores for us and on the field he offers a huge support, not so much for me personally because of my position at the front, but he is always there for the defenders and midfielders.

“He is an impressive player. All you need to think is he left Leicester and Leicester has not had such a good season compared to the previous one, so you really notice a lot when a player like him goes.”
