Eden Hazard believes that Chelsea need to shore up their defence ahead of their crunch clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Blues head into the game looking to take another step towards winning the title after Hazard helped Antonio Conte’s men to beat Bournemouth 3-1 on Saturday evening.

The Belgian forward scored Chelsea’s second goal to add to Adam Smith’s own goal and Marcos Alonso’s strike which wrapped up victory for the Blues.

However, Chelsea conceded yet another goal when Joshua King scored for the hosts on the stroke of half-time and the west London club have not kept a clean sheet in the Premier League since January.

And Hazard admits that the Blues will need to work on the defensive side of their game as they enjoy a free week to prepare for their trip to Manchester United on Sunday.

Speaking to Chelsea’s website after Saturday’s game, Hazard said: “The only problem was we still conceded one goal. It is the only small problem.

“But now we have eight days to prepare the game against Manchester United.

“We are in a good position. They are waiting for us to lose points but if we do the job we will be champions in the end.

“We have to be ready because in England you never know, you can lose points against every team but we are professional, we know what to do if we want to be champion.”
