Thibuat Courtois has insisted that Eden Hazard is not being affected by the transfer speculation linking him with a possible move from Chelsea to Real Madrid this summer.

The Belgian playmaker has been touted as a possible summer target for the La Liga side following his brilliant form for Chelsea so far this season.

Hazard has scored 13 goals in the Premier League to help Antonio Conte’s men build a seven-point lead at the top of the table and establish themselves as the heavy favourites to win the title.

The 26-year-old scored both of Chelsea’s goals as the Blues secured a 2-1 win over Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

Courtois insists Hazard is settled at Chelsea and that the transfer speculation has not been affecting his compatriot this season.

“Eden is not affected by it,” Courtois told the Evening Standard.

“They are just rumours. He is just calm. He knows that he is important to Chelsea, like I do. We are both very happy to be here. This [Manchester City] was my 100th game for Chelsea and I hope for many more.”

Chelsea are currently preparing for their Premier League trip to Bournemouth on Saturday evening as they look to take a step closer towards winning the title.
