Guillem Balague has claimed that Chelsea are confident of keeping Eden Hazard despite interest from Real Madrid.

The Belgium international has emerged as a summer target for Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane ahead of the transfer window.

Hazard has rekindled his best Chelsea form in the 2016-17 Premier League campaign under Guus Hiddink’s replacement Antonio Conte.

The west London side have relied upon their 26-year-old forward to keep their title bid on track over the past week or so.

Hazard scored twice in a 2-1 win against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge last week before the Belgian netted Chelsea’s second goal in a 3-1 win at Bournemouth.

La Liga expert Balague revealed that Chelsea are confident Hazard is happy with life in London and doesn’t want to leave the English capital with his family settled.

“They are interested in Hazard,” Balague told Sky Sports.

“He has left it open and is not saying no to Real Madrid, but has suggested to Chelsea that he wants to stay. Chelsea also have no intention of selling him, and are convinced he’ll stay.

“They think he’s enjoying life in London with his family and that he’s very settled.”

Hazard has scored 14 goals and has made five assists in 29 appearances in the Premier League in the 2016-17 season.

The Belgium international moved to Chelsea from Ligue 1 side Lille in 2012.
