Eden Hazard has played down talk of the Chelsea forward hitting the lofty heights of his Premier League title success in 2014-15.

The Belgium international has proven a key figure in the west London side’s title bid in the current campaign after a return of 13 goals and five goals in 28 games in the Premier League.

Hazard scored twice in Chelsea’s 2-1 win against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night to help the west London side get their title bid back on track after a mishap at the weekend.

The former Lille man netted 14 times in 38 games in the 2014-15 Premier League campaign as Hazard helped Chelsea to secure the Premier League title under Jose Mourinho.

Asked whether the Chelsea forward is back to his best in the 2016-17 season, Hazard said:

“I don’t know [if I’m back to the level of 2014-15]. I try to do my best to win games and we have now eight games to play. We want to finish top and that’s my target.”
