Ray Parlour states his prediction for Everton v Chelsea
The former Arsenal midfielder believes Everton's attacking approach will play into Chelsea's hands
Ray Parlour is confident that Chelsea will nick a win against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues have established themselves as one of the best counter-attacking sides in the Premier League this season following the appointment of Antonio Conte as their new manager.
Chelsea were 4-2 winners against EFL Cup runners-up Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night after goals from Eden Hazard, Gary Cahill and Diego Costa sealed three points for the hosts.
The 2015 Premier League champions are four points ahead of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur in the title race with five games to go ahead of Sunday’s trip to Goodison Park.
Former Arsenal midfielder Parlour believes Chelsea will find a way to beat Everton on Merseyside and move a step closer to the Premier League title under Conte.
“If Chelsea get a point, it’s a great point. I think Chelsea might nick it. They’re so good going forward. It will be an open game, which will play into Chelsea’s hands,” Parlour told the Alan Brazil Up Front podcast.
Chelsea are looking to win their second title but first under Conte this season.
The west London side have the chance to do the double after booking their place in the FA Cup final earlier this month.
