Gary Lineker hailed Chelsea’s decisive 3-0 win against Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League title race on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues didn’t make the breakthrough in the clash on Merseyside until the 66th minute when former Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez scored a stunning left-footed effort from outside the penalty area.

Chelsea doubled their advantage 10 minutes later when England defender Gary Cahill scored in successive Premier League games with a close-range finish at Goodison Park.

Antonio Conte brought on Willian to replace Eden Hazard in the final 10 minutes and the South American got on the end of Cesc Fabregas’ brilliant pass to make it 3-0.

Match Of The Day host Lineker, who won the FA Cup with Chelsea’s title rivals Tottenham during his playing career, felt that Conte’s side were good value for the three points on Merseyside.

Lineker wrote: “Strong and stable performance from the Blues. A landslide victory.”
