Chelsea have been handed a boost in their reported pursuit of Alvaro Morata this summer after Guillem Balague confirmed that the striker wants to leave Real Madrid this summer.

The west London side have been linked with a possible summer swoop for the Real Madrid star, who played under Antonio Conte during their time together at Juventus.

Morata has scored eight goals and made two assists in 19 La Liga games for Real Madrid so far this season but has only started nine of those matches.

And Spanish football expert Balague has claimed that Morata will want to resolve his future this summer – even though Real Madrid currently do not want to sell him.

Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ, Balague said: “Real Madrid don’t want to sell Morata but he wants to go. It’s an issue that needs resolving this summer.”
