Henrikh Mkhitaryan makes honest admission about his Man United form
Henrikh Mkhitaryan admits there is plenty of room for improvement from himself at Manchester United
Henrikh Mkhitaryan has admitted that there is plenty of room for improvement from him at Manchester United this season.
The Armenian playmaker arrived at Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund last summer and initially struggled to make much of an impact at the club.
However, Mkhitaryan has been in much improved form since the turn of the year and has started to show glimpses of his best for the club.
Manchester United have been struggling to find consistent form in recent weeks and Jose Mourinho’s men stuttered to another draw in front of their home fans on Tuesday night when they were held by Everton.
The Red Devils now face an uphill struggle to finish in the top four this season but Mkhitaryan is determined to improve his own form to help Manchester United qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Asked if he is fully adapted to life at the club, Mkhitaryan told United Review: “No, not yet. I still have places where I can improve and room to improve.
“I know myself very well and I am sure than I can do better, and I will do better, because I am confident.
“I know very well within myself I can do more, I want to say that, for next year, I am going to have more goals and more assists.
“Of course, you can improve in every aspect. There is not one side that you can say I am good on it and then I don’t have to work on that facet. You have to work on every side to your game, in every aspect, because you just have to keep working hard to improve.”
Manchester United are currently preparing for their Premier League trip to Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.
