Insider reveals Liverpool won’t sign goalkeeper this summer
Kaveh Solhekol has ruled out the possibility of Liverpool signing out-of-favour Man City goalkeeper Joe Hart
Joe Hart isn’t a Liverpool target ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol.
The England international was sent on a season-long loan to Serie A outfit Torino in the summer transfer window following the appointment of Pep Guardiola as their new manager.
Indeed, the new Manchester City boss informed Hart that he didn’t have a future at the Etihad Stadium before Guardiola signed Claudio Bravo from his former club Barcelona.
Hart has been linked with a return to the Premier League amid reported interest from leaders Chelsea and Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp signed Loris Karius in the 2016 summer transfer window but the Germany Under-21 international failed to establish himself as Liverpool’s undisputed number one.
The summer signing’s erratic performances led Klopp to restore Simon Mignolet to his starting line-up and the Belgium international has been excellent form.
Sky Sports News journalist Solhekol has now ruled out the possibility of Liverpool signing Hart, insisting the Reds have never been interested in the England international.
Solhekol wrote: “Joe Hart heading back to PL but unlikely to be Liverpool. Told he’s not, hasn’t been at any point & won’t be in future LFC transfer target.”
