Alex McLeish predicts where Arsenal will finish this season
Alex McLeish is expecting to see Arsenal miss out on a top-four finish in the Premier League this season
Alex McLeish has warned Arsenal that they are likely to miss out on a top-four finish this season.
The north London side are currently outside of the top four as they bid to try and claw their way back into the Champions League places before the season is out.
Arsenal have finished in the Champions League spots in each and every one of Arsene Wenger’s seasons in charge but the north London side are facing the very real prospect of missing out on a place in Europe’s elite club competition next term.
And former Aston Villa boss McLeish feels that the north London side are likely to miss out on a Champions League spot this time around.
Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Wednesday morning, McLeish said: “I think they will need a little bit of luck to finish in the top four.
“They’d need to win just about every one of their remaining games to have a chance.
“This could be the season where Arsenal finally didn’t make the top four.”
Arsenal finished second and without a trophy last season but won the FA CUp in 2014 and 2015.
The Gunners will take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley next month.
