Claudio Ranieri believes Arsene Wenger is capable of building another title-winning team at Arsenal.

The Gunners boss is coming under increasing pressure after the north London side’s well-documented struggles in the Champions League and the Premier League this season.

Arsenal lost 3-0 to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday night as the Gunners failed to register a shot on target in the second half of the London derby.

Wenger’s side are in sixth place in the Premier League table and seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester City with seven games to play.

Arsenal crashed out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage after a 10-2 aggregate loss to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in March.

Wenger’s current deal is set to expire at the end of the season, although Arsenal have offered their long-serving manager a new two-year contract extension.

Speaking to Sky Sports about Wenger’s future as Arsenal manager and whether the 67-year-old could guide the north London side to another title, Ranieri said:

“Yes. I think so…”

Ranieri was in charge of Chelsea when Wenger won his last Premier League title.
