Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that Tottenham are a more popular club than both Arsenal and Chelsea.

The Spurs manager has earned plenty of praise for the positive impact he has had since taking over at White Hart Lane, with the Lilywhites on course to secure Champions League qualification for the second successive season.

Pochettino watched his Tottenham side put in a valiant display as they were beaten 4-2 by Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.

The Argentine coach will now look to try and boost Tottenham’s title hopes, with Spurs currently second in the table and four points behind leaders Chelsea.

Pochettino says he wants to stay at White Hart Lane for the foreseeable future and claims Tottenham are London’s most popular team.

Pochettino told Cadena Ser: “I would love to be here for as long as possible because it’s a club with history, a club that is the most popular in London, more than Arsenal and Chelsea.

“Tottenham is a historic club at the same level as Manchester United and Liverpool.”
