Pundit: Arsenal star would join Sanchez in getting into Tottenham’s team (not Ozil)
Jamie Redknapp says Laurent Koscielny is the only Arsenal player good enough to join Alexis Sanchez in getting into Tottenham's team
Jamie Redknapp has claimed that Laurent Koscielny is the only other Arsenal player that would get into Tottenham’s team on current form – along with Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal are currently gearing up for their crunch north London derby showdown against their bitter local rivals at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon as they look to try and keep their top-four bid on track.
Tottenham have been in superb form this season and are still in the hunt to catch Chelsea in the race for the Premier League title this term, with Spurs currently four points behind the Blues.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men have won nine of their last 10 Premier League games and know that victory over Arsenal on Sunday would guarantee them to finish above their local rivals for the first time in 22 years.
And Redknapp feels that Sanchez and Koscielny are the only two players who would get into Tottenham’s team on current form.
Redknapp told Sky Sports: “Thierry Henry said the other day that only Alexis Sanchez would get into this current Tottenham XI. It’s hard to argue with that.
“I’d suggest Laurent Koscielny could also be in contention. But the point stands: Arsenal have work to do in the transfer window this summer.”
Arsenal finished second in the table and without a trophy last season.
