Graeme Souness is still expecting to see Chelsea win the Premier League this season – despite their 2-0 loss to Manchester United on Sunday.

The west London club’s lead at the top of the table has been slashed to four points after the Blues were comprehensively beaten by Jose Mourinho’s men at Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford and Ander Herrera scored in each half to hand the Red Devils victory in front of their home fans at Old Trafford.

Tottenham’s 4-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday handed Mauricio Pochettino’s men fresh hope of catching Chelsea in the final six games of the season.

However, Spurs must still take on Manchester United and Arsenal in the top flight before the season is out.

And former Liverpool star Souness is still tipping Chelsea to lift the Premier League trophy at the end of the season.

Souness told Sky Sports after Sunday’s game: “I still fancy Chelsea to win the league.”

Chelsea must now dust themselves down as they begin their preparations for their FA Cup semi-final clash against Tottenham at Wembley next weekend.

Manchester United, meanwhile, are up to fifth as they gear up for their Europa League clash against Anderlecht on Thursday night.
