Ian Wright is backing Chelsea to win the Premier League title despite their setback at Manchester United.

Tottenham Hotspur put the leaders under pressure after Mauricio Pochettino’s men eased to a resounding 4-0 win against Bournemouth at White Hart Lane in Saturday’s early kick-off.

The north London side moved to within four points of Antonio Conte’s side with six games to play ahead of Chelsea’s clash against their bitter rivals Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues struggled to cope with a dominant Manchester United performance as goals from Marcus Rashford and Ander Herrera sealed a 2-0 win for the Red Devils at Old Trafford.

Chelsea are looking to win their second title in three seasons in the Premier League but their first top-flight crown under Antonio Conte.

Speaking to BBC Radio’s 606 podcast about the title race, former Arsenal striker Wright backed Chelsea to win the Premier League despite talking up Tottenham’s potential to cause an upset.

“Chelsea have got a slip in them. Looking at the Manchester United game in their run-in, it was the tricky fixture,” Wright said.

“If Chelsea can get all their big guns back on the field, you’d still fancy Chelsea to win all their games.”
