Ian Wright has warned Chelsea that Tottenham Hotspur are capable of chasing down Antonio Conte’s side in the Premier League title race.

The north London side have the chance to move to within four points of Premier League leaders Chelsea on Saturday when Tottenham host Watford in the early kick-off before Conte’s men take on Bournemouth in the evening game.

Spurs capitalised on Chelsea’s setback against Crystal Palace last weekend after Tottenham were 2-0 winners against Burnley despite the promoted side’s formidable record at Turf Moor in the 2016-17 season.

The north London side came from 1-0 down to win 3-1 against Swansea City thanks to late goals from Dele Alli, Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen at the Liberty Stadium.

Chelsea, though, managed to preserve their seven-point lead thanks to a 2-1 win against top-four rivals Manchester City.

However, former Arsenal striker Wright warned Chelsea that there is still more work to do in the title race despite their commanding lead given Tottenham’s recent form.

“Of course Chelsea will be looking down. They saw Man City off which will give them confidence. But they’re looking at a Tottenham side who are coming pretty fast,” Wright told Sun Goals podcast.

“They’ll look at that and think Tottenham will beat Watford. Chelsea were 10 points clear but if Tottenham win their game, they’re four points. Of course that is going to make you worry. Chelsea will know they have to win because Tottenham aren’t going to lose.”
