Antonio Conte has warned his Chelsea team that they will have to be at their best to keep Romelu Lukaku quiet during their clash with Everton on Sunday.

The Blues head into the game knowing that a victory over the Toffees would move them seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table ahead of Tottenham’s clash with Arsenal later in the day.

Lukaku has been in superb form for Chelsea this season and has scored 24 goals and made six assists in the Premier League so far this term.

The former Chelsea striker has been linked with a possible summer move back to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks.

And Conte has admitted that he is a big fan of the Belgian striker as he talked up Lukaku’s ability ahead of Sunday’s crunch showdown.

Conte told a news conference at Chelsea’s training ground on Friday afternoon: “Lukaku is a really good player.

“He’s scoring a lot of goals this season but not only this season. We must pay great attention.

“It’s always the same, we study the opponent and try to find the best solution to stop them and the team.

“We must pay great attention to Lukaku and also the other players because they have a lot of good players with good technique and good finishing ability.”
