Georginio Wijnaldum insists Liverpool won’t be paying attention to Arsenal’s result at Crystal Palace on Monday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s side bolstered their top-four prospects at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday afternoon thanks to a 2-1 win against Stoke City.

Liverpool were trailing 1-0 after Jonathan Walters’s first-half effort before substitute Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino turned the Premier League clash on its head.

Wijnaldum teed up Firmino for Liverpool’s winner after the Brazilian fired a stunning half volley past Stoke goalkeeper Lee Grant with 18 minutes to go.

The Dutch midfielder has endured a tough week after his mistake helped Bournemouth to secure a 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday night.

Arsenal can move to within six points of Liverpool if Arsene Wenger’s men beat Crystal Palace in the London derby at Selhurst Park on Monday night.

However, Wijnaldum has insisted that Liverpool aren’t concerned with Arsenal’s results heading into the final six games of the 2016-17 campaign.

“We don’t look at other teams, we look at ourselves. We can’t control them, so the focus must be on us,” Wijnaldum told BBC Sport.
