Liverpool are keeping tabs on Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon in the summer transfer window, according to reports in the British media.

Sky Sports are reporting that Liverpool are interested in signing the 16-year-old Fulham defender as Jurgen Klopp looks to reinforce his defence.

The same article states that Liverpool have been impressed with Sessegnon’s standout performances in his breakthrough season in the Championship.

Sessegnon has scored five goals and has made two assists in 24 appearances in England’s second tier in the 2016-17 season.

Liverpool are facing a battle to finish in the Premier League’s top four following a 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace at Anfield last weekend.

The Merseyside club finished in eighth place last season which prompted Klopp to invest in seven new players in the summer transfer window.
