David Luiz has revealed that he learned a lot from playing alongside Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Brazil international was team-mates with the towering Swedish striker during his two-year spell at Paris Saint-Germain before Luiz secured a return to Chelsea in a £32m deal last summer.
Ibrahimovic and Luiz won two successive Ligue 1 titles together after the South American defender completed a £50m switch to PSG from Chelsea in the 2014 summer transfer window.
The 35-year-old has certainly left an impact on Manchester United and the Premier League this season after a return of 17 goals in 27 appearances in the 2016-17 season.
Ibrahimovic has also scored 11 times in the cup competitions in the current campaign to help Manchester United win the EFL Cup and reach the Europa League quarter-finals.
Speaking to Chelsea’s website about the Manchester United number nine, former PSG defender Luiz heaped praise on the former Sweden international.
“Zlatan is great player, a great personality, everybody was talking bad about him before he came here but he has showed everybody already he has quality,” Luiz said.
“I had a great opportunity to play with him, it was great for me, I learned a lot with him and we won a lot of titles but now he plays for Man United and me for Chelsea, and for sure I try my best and he tries his best.”
Chelsea are looking to win their second Premier League title in three seasons.
