Guillem Balague expects Kylian Mbappe to remain at Monaco despite interest from Real Madrid and the Premier League
Guillem Balague has claimed that Kylian Mbappe wants another season at Monaco before deciding upon a big-money move.
The France international has established himself as one of the most-exciting talents in European football thanks to his electric performances in the Champions League for Monaco.
Indeed, Mbappe scored home and away against Manchester City to help Monaco beat the Premier League side on aggregate to secure a place in the last-eight of the competition.
The 18-year-old striker scored twice in Monaco’s 3-2 impressive win against Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League quarter-final earlier this month.
Chelsea and Manchester United have both been linked with a potential move to sign the France teenager in recent weeks ahead of the summer transfer window.
Real Madrid are thought to be interested in the highly-rated Monaco forward – too, but La Liga expert Balague doesn’t expect Mbappe to move to the Spanish capital this summer.
“The story around Mbappe is he wants another year in Monaco. Having said that, a huge offer would turn his head,” Balague told Sky Sports.
“Every big club you can name has approached him but nobody has convinced him yet to move on. It’s one to watch and it will be a big talking point over the summer.”
Mbappe has scored four times in six Champions League appearances this term.
