Zlatan Ibrahimovic makes exciting Man United admission
The Manchester United striker believes there is still more to come from him in the final months of the 2016-17 season
Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes he can still make improvements to his game as Manchester United look to finish the season on a positive note.
The veteran striker has been one of Jose Mourinho’s best players in the 2016-17 campaign in spite of moving to Manchester United on a free transfer last summer.
Indeed, the former Sweden international has scored 17 times in 28 games in the Premier League campaign to rubbish any concerns about his suitability to the English top flight.
Ibrahimovic’s excellent performances have earned the 35-year-old striker a PFA player of the year nomination alongside Eden Hazard, N’Golo Kante, Romelu Lukaku, Harry Kane and Alexis Sanchez.
However, the former AC Milan and Barcelona striker Ibrahimovic believes he can produce even better form for the Old Trafford outfit in the remaining months of the current campaign.
“I still have to do much more, and do much better,” Ibrahimovic told Manchester United’s website.
“We have one month to go and we play many games. We’re still grinding, we’re still pushing, because we have the Europa League and the end of the Premier League. We’ll fight for it.”
Manchester United drew 1-1 with Anderlecht in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final in Belgium last Thursday, before their 2-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday.
The Red Devils won the EFL Cup thanks to a 3-2 win against Southampton at Wembley back in February.
