Jose Mourinho discusses potential Man United transfer with 24-year-old striker – report

Manchester United have submitted an offer for want-away Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, according to reports in Spain.
Cadena SER reported on Wednesday that the Red Devils have tabled a bid to sign the Spain international ahead of the summer transfer window.
Morata has found his first-team opportunities limited in the 2016-17 season under Zinedine Zidane after his return to the Spanish capital from Juventus.
The same article states that Jose Mourinho has spoken to the 24-year-old striker about a potential summer move to the 20-time English champions.
Morata has scored 12 goals in 21 appearances in La Liga this season despite starting 10 of those games from the bench.
Indeed, the former Juventus striker has only racked up 1058 minutes of top-flight football, in comparison to Cristiano Ronaldo’s 2190 minutes.
Manchester United suffered a blow earlier this week when Zlatan Ibrahimovic was ruled out with a long-term knee problem.
The Red Devils will take on Manchester City in the derby at The Etihad on Thursday night.
