Man United urged to sign Premier League defender: Take a chance
Ian Wright believes Manchester United should take a chance on their former defender Michael Keane
Ian Wright has urged Manchester United to sign Burnley defender Michael Keane in the summer transfer window.
The newly-capped England international has been linked with a surprise return to Manchester United in the summer transfer window following his standout performance for Burnley.
Indeed, Keane has been a key part of Burnley’ defence in the Premier League this season as Sean Dyche’s side maintain their excellent home record at Turf Moor.
The centre-half left Manchester United under Louis van Gaal after the defender failed to break into the first-team despite progressing through the youth set-up with a promising reputation.
Keane has been linked with a summer switch to Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool and Manchester United in recent months.
Former Arsenal striker Wright believes Keane would be a good signing for Manchester United in the summer.
“No, he is too good. For his own good, I think it would be best for him to move. If I’m someone like Manchester United, I’d take the chance. With his potential, he could go again,” Wright told The Sun Goals podcast.
Manchester United signed four players in the summer transfer window last season, including £30m centre-half Eric Bailly.
