Gary Neville makes exciting prediction about big Man United signings
The Manchester United legend is backing Jose Mourinho to spend big money on new summer signings
Gary Neville is backing Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho to spend big on signings again this summer.
The Red Devils limped to an eighth home draw of the 2016-17 season under Mourinho on Saturday afternoon as Manchester United lost further ground on the top four.
The 20-time English champions struggled in the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba as the Red Devils succumbed to successive stalemates in the Premier League.
Manchester United signed four players in the summer transfer window last summer as Mourinho spent in excess of 150m on Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Ibrahimovic and Pogba.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move to sign France international Antoine Griezmann in the summer transfer window.
Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe is another name who has been touted as a potential target for Mourinho at the end of the 2016-17 season.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ on Monday afternoon, former Manchester United defender Neville tipped Mourinho to invest heavily in new playing staff.
“You can see already he [Mourinho] is lining it up with the sales of Schneiderlin and Depay for £40-odd-million,” Neville said.
“There’s talk of Griezmann coming and I’m sure other clubs will be after him as well. But he must be lining up for another big summer.”
