Rio Ferdinand believes Manchester United would be the perfect destination for Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann.

The France international’s future has been a source of relentless speculation throughout the 2016-17 season as the striker continues to impress on the European stage.

The Atletico striker has scored 15 times in 30 games in La Liga in the current campaign to attract reported interest from bitter rivals Real Madrid and the Premier League.

Manchester United were reported to have agreed a deal in principle to sign Griezmann last month, but the Atletico star has thus far failed to shed light on his future.

Former Manchester United defender Ferdinand believes Jose Mourinho’s side would be the ideal destination for the France striker in the summer transfer window.

“Old Trafford looks like the perfect destination!” Ferdinand told BT Sport on Tuesday night.
