Ex-defender sends warning to Chelsea: This was Tottenham’s best performance

Graeme Le Saux has warned Chelsea that Tottenham Hotspur have already produced one stellar performance against Antonio Conte’s men this season ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final.

The north London side will look to cause an upset in the semi-final clash at Wembley when Mauricio Pochettino’s side take on the Premier League leaders.

Chelsea lost 2-0 to Tottenham in the most-recent meetings between the London rivals thanks to Dele Alli’s goals either side of half-time at White Hart Lane in January.

The Blues struggled to trouble Spurs in the Premier League clash as the Lilywhites ended Chelsea’s impressive 13-game winning run in the top flight.

Chelsea, though, were 2-1 winners against Tottenham in their league meeting at Stamford Bridge in November courtesy of goals from Victor Moses and Pedro Rodriguez.

Former Chelsea defender Le Saux felt that Tottenham’s best performance of the 2016-17 season came against Chelsea at White Hart Lane earlier this year.

“I think this will be a tactically fascinating game and I can’t wait to see how Spurs line up – their best performance of the season was their 2-0 win over the Antonio Conte’s men, and they’re able to play with a back three and a back four adroitly,” Le Saux told Betfair’s blog.
