Lee Dixon heaped praise on Eden Hazard for his accomplished finish after Chelsea eased to a comfortable 4-2 win against Southampton on Tuesday night.

The Belgium international was restored to the starting line-up after Antonio Conte started the Chelsea number 10 on the bench at Wembley at the weekend.

Hazard was a second-half substitute in Chelsea’s 4-2 win against Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup last-four clash as the Belgian scored their third goal before he teed up Nemanja Matic to seal their place in the final.

The Chelsea forward needed less than six minutes to make the breakthrough at Stamford Bridge as Hazard found the space to collect Diego Costa’s pass before placing his finish past Fraser Forster and into the bottom corner.

Speaking to NBC about Hazard’s goal, Dixon said:

“He was waiting for the space in front of Hazard. He doesn’t miss very often.

“He finds the corner. It was a really good move. It was a good run from Costa.”

Former Blues midfielder Oriol Romeu levelled the Premier League clash with a close-range finish before Gary Cahill restored Chelsea’s lead in added time at the end of the first half at Stamford Bridge.

Costa wrapped up three points with a header in the second half and an 88th-minute strike before Ryan Bertrand’s late consolation as Chelsea moved seven points clear of Tottenham ahead of the north London side’s trip to Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
