Legend warns Chelsea: Tottenham star has gone to the next level
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink talks up Tottenham striker Harry Kane ahead of Saturday's FA Cup semi-final at Wembley
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has warned Chelsea that Tottenham striker Harry Kane has gone to another level this season ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final.
The Blues will take on their Premier League title rivals in the last-four clash at Wembley as both Antonio Conte and Mauricio Pochettino look to reach their first FA Cup final.
Tottenham have one of the Premier League’s leading goal-scorers in their ranks after Kane scored 20 times in 23 games despite an injury-hit campaign for the England international.
The 23-year-old has now scored a remarkable 66 goals in 86 appearances in the Premier League over the past three seasons under Argentinian coach Pochettino.
Chelsea, on the other hand, have Diego Costa but the Spanish striker has struggled for form in the second half of the 2016-17 season despite his tally of 17 top-flight goals this term.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ ahead of Chelsea’s clash against Tottenham in the FA Cup at Wembley, Hasselbaink said:
“Harry Kane has gone to the next level after last year. On top of that, he has missed a lot of games this year.”
Tottenham were 2-0 winners against Chelsea in their most-recent meeting at White Hart Lane.
