Danny Mills is fully expecting to see Liverpool finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.

The Reds have been in good form in recent weeks and are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they chase Champions League qualification in Jurgen Klopp’s first full season at the club.

Klopp has been tasked with steering Liverpool back into Europe’s elite club competition after the Reds ended up eighth and without a trophy last season.

Liverpool have played two games more than some of their closest rivals in the race for a top-four finish but former defender Mills is certain that the Reds have what it takes to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Thursday morning, Mills said: “I think they will finish in the top four. As it stands at the moment they’re in pole position.

“They’re still a little bit up and down but there should be enough winnable games for them to pick up the points to make the top four.”
