Andy Hinchcliffe is backing Liverpool to finish in the Premier League’s top four this season ahead of Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are currently third in the Premier League table as they chase Champions League qualification in the German coach’s first full season in charge at the club.

Manchester United, meanwhile, head into their crunch clash against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon in fifth place, with Jose Mourinho’s men currently off the pace in the race for a top-four finish.

Manchester City are in fourth as the Premier League season reaches its conclusion and the race for Champions League qualification hots up.

Hinchcliffe is backing Manchester City to pip Liverpool to third place and is expecting to see the Merseyside outfit finish fourth, just ahead of Manchester United.

Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Tuesday, Hinchcliffe said: “The injury to Sadio Mane is a major blow [for Liverpool].

“I can see Manchester City finishing ahead of Liverpool. Liverpool will probably finish in fourth. I can’t see Manchester United breaking into it.”
