Nemanja Vidic has revealed that he is a huge admirer of Eric Bailly and the start to life he has made at Manchester United.

Bailly has been a regular fixture in the Red Devils team this season since his arrival at the club from Villarreal last summer.

The Ivorian has earned plenty of praise for the way in which he has adapted swiftly to the rigours of English football.

Vidic knows a thing or two about achieving success at Manchester United after enjoying a trophy-laden career under Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.

And the former Serbia international has been hugely impressed by what he has seen from Bailly so far this season.

Speaking to MUTV, Vidic said: “I like Eric’s aggression. It is important for a defender. He is young but confident on the ball.

“Sometimes he gives away some chances but I think it is important to have courage to play at the back.

“He still has space to improve and he is at a great club where he has all the tools to improve so I believe he is going to be here at the club for many years and hopefully help the club to win trophies.”

Bailly will be hoping to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils return to Europa League action with a crunch clash against Anderlecht in Belgium on Thursday night.
