Matteo Darmian has admitted that he does not know whether he will still be at Manchester United next season.

The Italian defender has seen his playing time limited this season since Jose Mourinho’s appointment at Old Trafford last summer.

Indeed, Darmian had only made 11 Premier League starts for Mourinho’s men heading into this weekend’s round of fixtures.

The Italy international’s lack of playing time this season could be set to spark speculation linking him with a possible transfer away from Old Trafford in the summer.

And the defender has refused to rule out the possibility of leaving Old Trafford in the summer.

Asked about his future, Darmian told Tuttomercatoweb: “I wouldn’t know what to say right now [about the future].

“The campaign isn’t over yet and I am really concentrated on this final rush. I cannot predict my future.

“We all know that in this profession you can be somewhere one day and in a completely different place the next, but it would be inopportune to discuss it now.

“I am focused on getting the best with Manchester United, then at the right time we’ll evaluate the situation.”

Manchester United are currently preparing for their Premier League showdown with Manchester City at The Etihad on Thursday afternoon as they look to keep their bid for a top-four finish alive.
