Man United sent warning about possible Antoine Griezmann transfer
Lee Sharpe says Manchester United can forget about signing Antoine Griezmann this summer if they don't qualify for the Champions League

Lee Sharpe has warned Manchester United that signing Antoine Griezmann will not be an option this summer if the Red Devils miss out on a Champions League spot.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a bid to sign the France international this summer as the transfer window draws nearer.
Jose Mourinho is likely to want to bolster his attacking options at Old Trafford ahead of his second season in charge at the club.
However, Manchester United’s place in next season’s Champions League is not yet secure.
The Red Devils could seal their spot by winning the Europa League or finishing in the top four this season.
And former Manchester United star Sharpe feels that the Red Devils can forget about signing Griezmann if they do not qualify for Europe’s elite club competition.
Speaking to 888sport, Sharpe said: “Griezmann won’t be an option if United miss out on Europe and things generally become much more difficult without Champions League football.
“But players still want to play for Manchester United. They’re one of the biggest four clubs in the world and players will also still want to play for Jose Mourinho.
“They will have to be sold a project where okay we’re not in it this season but we will be the year after and the year after that. Then they’ll have to pay that little bit extra too.”
Manchester United are currently preparing to take on Manchester City in Thursday night’s crunch derby clash at Old Trafford.
