Man United plan £125m double deal for two signings this summer – report
Manchester United could make a summer transfer swoop to sign Antoine Griezmann and Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid this summer, say reports
Manchester United are lining up a big-money double transfer bid to sign Antoine Griezmann and Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid this summer, according to reports.
The Daily Star are reporting that goalkeeper Oblak has emerged as a new transfer target for Jose Mourinho as the Portuguese coach begins to think about bolstering his squad ahead of his second season in charge.
The same report states that Manchester United are already keen on signing France international Griezmann in a £85m deal this summer.
And that they are monitoring £40m-rated Oblak’s situation at the club in the event that David De Gea leaves Old Trafford to join Real Madrid.
The pair could become Manchester United’s first two signings of the summer as Mourinho looks ahead towards next season.
Manchester United were one of the Premier League’s biggest spending clubs last summer as Mourinho brought in Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The Red Devils did not bring in any players in the January transfer window and are widely expected to bolster their squad this summer ahead of a potential return to the Champions League next season.
Manchester United take on Anderlecht in the return leg of their Europa League quarter-final clash on Thursday night.
