Jose Mourinho insists Manchester United won’t settle for a goalless draw with Anderlecht in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final on Thursday night.

The Red Devils appeared to be heading for a 1-0 win against the Belgian side after Henrikh Mkhitaryan broke the deadlock in the first half of the European clash.

However, Manchester United conceded a late equaliser to offer Anderlecht slim hope of a comeback ahead of the return leg at Old Trafford on Thursday.

Mourinho’s side would secure their place in the last four with a goalless draw thanks to Mkhitaryan’s away goal in Belgium last week.

But the Manchester United manager is confident that his Red Devils side will beat Anderlecht despite their poor home record in the Premier League over the 2016-17 season.

“First of all, if you don’t concede, you go through, and that’s important for us to know. At the same time, Anderlecht know that if they don’t score, they’re out. Let’s see what happens,” Mourinho told his pre-match media conference.

“We play at home and I know our record there in the Premier League is not the best, but in the Europa League we’ve won every match at home. Are we going to play for a 0-0? No.”
