Michael Owen is backing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to fire Manchester United to victory over Everton in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils head into the game looking to return to winning ways after the disappointment of their goalless draw with West Brom at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Manchester United will be keen to secure the three points to get their top-four bid back on track, with the Red Devils currently in fifth place in the table.

Jose Mourinho’s men are expected to welcome Ibrahimovic back into the starting line-up following his recent suspension.

And Owen is tipping Ibrahimovic to open the scoring for the Red Devils against the Toffees on Tuesday night at Old Trafford.

Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “Ronald Koeman will become the first manager in Premier League history to win three successive away games at Old Trafford if the Blues win on Tuesday.

“His side will have to play a lot better than they did at Anfield on Saturday, however, when they were disappointing at best.

“Everton have only won once in their last twenty-three league games at Old Trafford and United can welcome back Zlatan Ibrahimovic from suspension – the Swede might be the difference between the sides.”

Manchester United are aiming to secure a spot in next season’s Champions League in Mourinho’s first campaign in charge.

Ibrahimovic has been one of Manchester United’s top performers this season, scoring 26 goals so far in all competitions.
