Guillem Balague is certain that reported Manchester United target Neymar will not be leaving Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

The Brazilian attacker has been touted as a possible target for Jose Mourinho in the summer transfer window as the Portuguese coach begins to turn his attentions towards strengthening his squad ahead of next season.

Neymar is widely regarded as one of world football’s top attacking talents and his arrival would prove a significant addition to any Premier League club.

Spanish football expert Balague says that he is not expecting to see Neymar move clubs this summer, but suggested that a transfer to England could be on the cards in the next few years.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Balague said: “I don’t think Neymar will be coming to the Premier League anytime soon.

“After two or three years, who knows? But he will definitely be at Barcelona next season and he’s become very important.

“He’s in the best season of his career and I believe he is now only behind Lionel Messi as the best player in the world.

“There are some who argue he is even ahead of Messi, but I don’t see that.”

Manchester United are bound to be linked with a host of other players as the summer transfer window draws ever nearer.

The Red Devils were one of the biggest spending clubs last summer as they brought in Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly.
