Pundit accuses Mesut Ozil of cheating in Arsenal’s 3-0 loss at Palace
Stan Collymore wasn't impressed with Mesut Ozil's performance in Arsenal's 3-0 loss at Crystal Palace on Monday night
Stan Collymore accused Mesut Ozil of cheating in football terms while Alexis Sanchez worked hard for the Arsenal cause during Monday night’s 3-0 loss at Crystal Palace.
The Chile international has been Arsenal’s standout player after a return of 18 goals and nine assists in 30 appearances in the Premier League in an otherwise disappointing campaign for the north London outfit.
Ozil, on the other hand, has struggled to hit the heights that he reached last season after a disappointing return of five goals and five assists as Arsenal continue to stutter over the finishing line.
Ozil and Sanchez have both been holding talks with Arsenal over a new contract, with less than 15 months remaining on their current deals.
However, former Liverpool striker Collymore wasn’t impressed with the Germany international’s work ethic during the 3-0 loss at Selhurst Park.
Energetic #CPFC display but could keep ball better. Feel for Sanchez, working hard while Ozil simply is cheating in football terms.
