Arsenal won’t finish in the Premier League’s top four this season, according to Don Goodman.
The Gunners aren’t in Premier League action this weekend as the north London side take on Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
Arsenal are in sixth place in the Premier League table and seven points behind their semi-final opponents Manchester City with eight games to go in the 2016-17 season.
Arsene Wenger’s side are now facing the prospect of missing out on a place in the Champions League for the first time in 21 seasons at the north London outfit.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ about Arsenal’s top-four hopes after the Gunners were 2-1 winners against Middlesbrough earlier this season, former Wolves striker Goodman said:
“I think the league table tells you where teams should be. There is a clutch of three or four teams. It looks a tall order for Arsenal to get in the top four as they have peetered away.”
Arsenal are in sixth place in the Premier League table and seven points adrift of Manchester City.
The Gunners are looking to win their third FA Cup crown in four seasons.
