Pundit rules out Jurgen Klopp making Liverpool signing in the summer
Alan Brazil rules out Liverpool recruiting England and Man City goalkeeper Joe Hart in the summer transfer window
Liverpool won’t sign Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart in the summer transfer window, according to Alan Brazil.
Jurgen Klopp signed Mainz goalkeeper Loris Karius in last summer’s transfer window but the £4.7m signing has failed to convince as Liverpool’s number one shot stopper.
Indeed, the Liverpool boss reverted back to Belgium international Simon Mignolet as his first-choice goalkeeper despite the former Sunderland man’s patchy performances.
Hart has been linked with a move to Liverpool since Pep Guardiola took over the reins of Manchester City and deemed the England number one surplus to requirements at The Etihad.
The former Shrewsbury Town goalkeeper moved to Serie A side Torino on a season-long loan at the start of the campaign but with summer around the corner, speculation has been rife about Hart’s future.
Former Ipswich Town and Manchester United striker Brazil has claimed that Liverpool aren’t interested in signing Hart and Klopp has made a decision to place his faith in Mignolet long term.
“Joe won’t go to Liverpool. They’re sticking with Mignolet,” Brazil told his podcast Alan Brazil Up Front podcast.
