Ian Wright is tipping Manchester United to secure a comfortable 3-0 win against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils will take on the Premier League strugglers in search of a first top-flight win in three games after their recent stalemates with West Bromwich Albion and Everton.

Indeed, Jose Mourinho’s side have drawn three of their last four games to leave the 20-time English champions well off the pace in the race to secure a place in the top four.

Manchester United have the small matter of a Europa League quarter-final against Anderlecht in the first leg in Belgium next Thursday in search of a first European trophy since 2008.

Former Arsenal striker Wright is backing Manchester United to return to winning ways with a comfortable victory over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday afternoon.

“3-0 Manchester United,” Wright told The Sun Goals podcast.
