Wayne Bridge is tipping Tottenham to finish second in the Premier League table this season.

The north London side are currently Chelsea’s closest challengers in the table as they bid to try and catch the Blues before the season is out.

Tottenham are aiming to build on their third-placed finish last season as Mauricio Pochettino looks to steer the Lilywhites into the Champions League for the second campaign running.

And former Chelsea star Bridge is tipping the north London side to come second this season behind the Blues in the race for the title.

Speaking to BetStars, Bridge said: “Spurs are one of my favourite teams to watch.

“They’re well balanced and they’ve proved they’re not a one-man team and they can do it with Harry Kane. Dele Alli is a very exciting player who has the right attributes and attitude to be at the top of the game.”

Tottenham, who were Leicester City’s closest challengers for most of last season, return to Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime when they host Watford at White Hart Lane.

The north London side then host Bournemouth at White Hart Lane as they bid to take another step closer towards a top-four finish.
