Ian Wright believes one of the north London clubs will emerge victorious from Sunday’s derby, but the ex-striker has refused to declare whether it will be Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur.

Mauricio Pochettino and Arsene Wenger’s players are preparing for one of the biggest north London derbies in the Premier League era with a lot at stake for both clubs.

Tottenham are four points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea with five games to play after an impressive six-game winning run transformed Spurs into the west London side’s closest challengers.

Arsenal, on the other hand, are facing a battle to secure a place in next season’s Champions League competition after a disappointing second half of the season under Wenger.

The Gunners have, however, won their last three Premier League games to at least boost their slim top-four hopes with six matches remaining in their campaign.

Speaking to The Sun Goals podcast about the north London derby at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon, Wright said:

“I think someone is going to win it. You can’t call the north London derby but they both need to win it.”
